DATA PROCESSING STATEMENT FOR THE PRODUCT CATALOGUE TOOL (PCT)

This Statement (“Statement”) will provide you with information on our data processing activities with respect to individually identifiable information collected and processed ("Personal Data") by AB Electrolux (publ.), St Göransgatan 143, 105 45 Stockholm, Sweden (“Electrolux” or “we” or “our”) through the Product Catalogue Tool (“PCT”) which is a tool for product catalogue creation.

  1. YOUR PERSONAL DATA / PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING

We will process Personal Data about you as an employee of Electrolux or a sales and service personnel of one of our customers, partners and suppliers that we collect during your use of PCT.

  1. Categories of Personal Data

The Personal Data categories that we process in summary include your name, your employer, your contact info (e-mail address). The provision of this Personal Data by you is mandatory. If you do not provide these Personal Data, you will not be able to use PCT.

  1. Processing Purposes

We process your Personal Data to the extent permitted or required under applicable law, for purposes connected with your use of PCT, as follows: (a) to provide you with product information, and (b) marketing assets (front/end/extra pages, etc.) to enable catalogue creation.

  1. Legal Basis

The processing of Personal Data for the purpose 2. a) Above is mainly necessary for the conclusion and fulfilment of the contractual relationship in connection with your use of PCT and is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (“GDPR”).

In addition, Electrolux processes your Personal Data for the purpose 2. b) On the following legitimate interests (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR): providing you with product information in PCT for Electrolux products and marketing assets (front/end/extra pages, etc.) to enable catalogue creation for Electrolux products.

Your Personal Data may also be processed where Electrolux reasonably considers it necessary for complying with legal or regulatory obligations (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit c) GDPR).

  1. DATA TRANSFERS AND RECIPIENTS

We may transfer a subset of your Personal Data to other parties within the Electrolux group of companies, as permitted pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR for the legitimate interests of Electrolux to provide you with the up-to-date information on our products which is relevant for you. Government agencies and entities receiving your Personal Data as required by law process your Personal Data as controllers for their own purposes. The transfer of your Personal Data to public authorities - if any - is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit c) GDPR.

  • RETENTION PERIODS

Personal Data processed for the purposes hereunder will be stored only as long as necessary and allowed by applicable data protection law (i.e., as long as there is a valid legal justification). Your Personal Data will not be kept in a form that allows you to be identified for any longer than is reasonably considered necessary by Electrolux for achieving the purposes for which it was processed or as it is established in the applicable laws related to data retention periods.

  1. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS

You normally have the following rights (under the conditions set out under applicable law (e.g., GDPR)):  

(i)          Right of access: You have the right to obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not Personal Data concerning you is being processed, and, where that is the case, to request access to the Personal Data. The access information includes – inter alia – the purposes of the processing, the categories of Personal Data concerned, and the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the Personal Data have been or will be disclosed.

 

You have the right to obtain a copy of the Personal Data undergoing processing. For additional copies requested by you, we may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs.

 

(ii)         Right to rectification: You have the right to obtain from us the rectification of inaccurate Personal Data concerning you. Depending on the purposes of the processing, you have the right to have incomplete Personal Data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.

 

(iii)        Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): You have the right to ask us to erase your Personal Data, in which case we have to comply.

 

(iv)        Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request the restriction of processing your Personal Data. In this case, the respective data will be marked and may only be processed by us for certain purposes.

 

(v)         Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the Personal Data concerning you which you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and you have the right to transmit those Personal Data to another entity without hindrance from us.

 

(vi)        Right to object: You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to the processing of your Personal Data by us and we can be required to no longer process your Personal Data. If you have a right to object and you exercise this right, your Personal Data will no longer be processed for such purposes by us. Exercising this right will not incur any costs.

Such a right to object may not exist, in particular, if the processing of your Personal Data is necessary to take steps prior to entering into a contract or to perform a contract already concluded.

Please note that the aforementioned rights might be limited under the applicable national data protection law.
